Alexandra Burke pulls Pride performance at last minute

Alexandra Burke pulls Pride performance at last minute Alexandra Burke pulls Pride performance at last minute

X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke sensationally pulled out of Brighton Pride at the last minute yesterday leaving thousands of fans angry and upset.

In a statement on her twitter account, she said: “Brighton Pride, I am so sorry to disappoint. I'm really disappointed too. I wasn't taking a fee for the gig.

"I really wanted to perform for you all, however the promoter did not meet the production or technical requirements needed to make the show work.

“It was sadly out of my hands.”

Pride bosses said that full details of Burke’s performance had been agreed in advance and that her management decided to remove her from the line-up at the last minute.

A spokeswoman added: “Pride Brighton & Hove would like to thank Fatboy Slim, the Freemasons and all of the performers who waived their fees to perform at Preston Park for their support of Pride Brighton & Hove 2012 and the LGBT community at large.”

The promoters didn't meet the production or technical requirements which basically means somebody forgot the Tapes for miming.

My sources (official) tell me she would`nt sing live at the gig and the backing tracks couldnt be brought in time!

Certainly not one of her fans myself, but she can hold a tune and has a strong voice so I guess rolivan your snide comment is made out of ignorance and well done chris inbrighton for not knowing who she is at all, that certainly is confirmation of your superiority I'm sure.

Way to perform career suicide, and for the record, nobody was getting a fee, it was a charity event raising awareness and funds for local charities.

I suspect it was because she wasn't getting paid she pulled out.

I have been to more live concerts than I can remember.Rod Stewart,David Bowie ,Santana,Fleetword Mac,Kenny Gee,John Denver,Four Tops, Gladys Knight ,Temptations,Stevie Wonder are just some that come to mind.I think I know a good Performer when I hear one.If you want to hear some Xfactor talent I suggest you go on Youtube and watch some Australia 2012 there is plenty of Talent there.Apart from Leona Lewis who is worth watching from UK winners.Alexander Burke surely not!

funny that as she was the 2nd act to be annouced that would be a hove cricket ground on monday. She was never mentioned or apologised. I had a very upset niece. JLS cheered her up a bit.
You could have toned down your stage show to work with what was available if you wanted to I am sure. Fatboy was great

I agree when a performer thinks they are special when they are not they lose public support.I certainly was not excited she was going to perform in fact although ive heard her name i dont know who she is except x factor has been, which is what she will be soon a HAS BEEN and FORGOTTEN ABOUT.

Rumour in the village has it that whoever she is was standing in for David 'Burger' Van Day, who had a more pressing engagement.
