IN JULY, Brighton and Hove’s electric mayoral limousine ran out of electric charge on a mission to Chichester, causing the mayor to hire a taxi back to Brighton costing taxpayers £70.
A fast electric coastway train from Chichester to Brighton costs £11.40 or £7.55 with a senior rail card. It also reduces traffic and pollution along the coastway road.
