easyJet, Europe’s leading airline, has launched its first flights on a new route between London Gatwick and Klagenfurt in Austria.
Klagenfurt airport provides access to Austria’s southernmost province, which offers spectacular views of mountains and lakes as well as snow-sure ski resorts.
Early snowfall this winter has set skiers up for a great season and many of the resorts in Austria are reporting snow depths of over 100cm.
The region is now served by a direct easyJet flight to and from London Gatwick every Saturday throughout the airline’s winter season.
Sophie Dekkers, UK Country Director for easyJet said: “We are delighted to have launched our first flights to Klagenfurt, providing our customers in London and the south-east with yet another fantastic ski and winter holiday destination.
“easyJet remains committed to providing easy and affordable connections by offering customers low fares, a convenient schedule and more choice when they travel.
“By launching this route today, we’re adding even more choice to our winter schedule from London Gatwick, which already offers direct connections to alternative resorts such as Åre Östersund in Sweden and Sofia in Bulgaria as well as Geneva, Innsbruck and Turin.”
