The winners of The Argus's competition to find your favourite cafe have thanked customers for their support.

After months of nominations and voting, The Argus can reveal the winners of the cafe category in our Your Favourite Awards.

We opened this year's cafe competition in February for you, our readers, to nominate your favourite cafe for the grand title.

Public voting opened on March 20 and we received a huge amount of support for this Worthing coffee shop.

Coffee Me, in Montague Street, is the winner of cafe award - and the owners could not be more pleased.

Natacha and Jansen Veeren opened the cafe in January 2019 and have racked up an impressive amount of support from customers.

Natacha said: "Without the support and patronage of our customers we would be nowhere.

"With that support you have voted us into first place in The Argus's awards.

"A heartfelt thank you to all who have come in to enjoy the friendly service and the great food and drinks, and a bigger thank you to all who voted."

The winners were presented with a trophy and banner to celebrate.

Natacha added: "We aim to keep up the good work providing the best drinks and finest food.

"Hopefully with the attention this award will bring we, and all the other coffee shops in the area, will see an uptick in customer numbers which can only help in keeping the high street vibrant and alive."

The cafe shared its success on its Instagram page, where proud customers celebrated with them.

One commenter said the award "could not have happened to a better cafe crew in Worthing".
