A DUCK died after being attacked by dogs.
Hailsham residents reported a group of young men with lurchers and a small short-haired dog disturbing the ducks at Farne Close Pond.
Then three dogs caught a duck and tore it apart in front of the distressed residents.
One witness confronted the men, to which one replied: “It’s only a duck.”
The duck was taken to East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service and died shortly after. Casualty manager Chris Riddington said: “It was horrific.”
