Burglars have been targeting the Manhood peninsula.
Five homes were targeted between November 25 and December 1 in Oakfield Avenue, East Wittering, Avebury Close in Bracklesham Bay and Howard Avenue, Ella Close and Chaucer Drive in West Wittering.
The homes were either entered by thieves or had doors and windows smashed by people trying to get inside.
Among the items taken include a TV and cash.
Detective Constable Pippa Hannard said: "We believe the same people could be involved in all of these as the victims lived relatively close to each other and the crimes happened in a short space of time.
"We need to speak to anyone who has seen any unusual behaviour in the community by both people or vehicles. If someone looks out of place in your area and you are concerned they might be up to no good, call us."
