A MAN ejected from a bus racially abused a woman and her three-year-old daughter before a “Good Samaritan” intervened.

At about 4.30pm on December 5 at the stop outside Laycocks pharmacy, in Old London Road, Ore, Hastings, a number 100 bus drew up and a man, who appeared to be drunk, was ejected.

He verbally and racially abused the pair and also made threats towards them.

A man at the bus stop intervened to help the woman and her child, but did not leave any contact details. The pair got onto another bus to escape from the situation.

PC Audra King said: "We would like to speak to this Good Samaritan and also anyone who may have seen what happened."

A 47-year-old Hastings man has been arrested on suspicion of making racially abusive threats of violence and bailed until January 12.
