A 54-YEAR-OLD woman has been accused of stealing £85,000 from a family’s estate.
Police officers were contacted last year with a complaint about the way Selsey legal firm Coates and Co was handling the distribution of a Middlesex woman's estate after her death.
Emma Margaret Coates, 45, of West Street, Selsey, has been charged with fraud by abuse of position.
She was released on bail to appear at City of London Magistrates' Court on March 26.
The allegation involves the misappropriation of £85,000 from the estate between January 2013 and November 2014.
