A WOMAN fended off a man who tried to rape her in the bin area of a car park.
The woman, aged in her 20s, left the Moka nightclub in Crawley last Sunday (September 6) at about 3am.
She spoke to a man she had met outside the club and ended up walking on Station Way.
He pushed her into the bin area of the car park of the Regus offices on Station Way where he tried to rape her. The woman pushed him off and managed to run away.
Now police are keen to trace 24-year-old Victor Alexandru (pictured) in connection with the attempted rape as they believe he attended the club on Saturday night and may have important information about the incident.
Detective constable Karrie Bohanna said: "We are asking that Victor gets in contact with us. We are making sure the victim is supported as she is understandably distressed by what happened."
Anyone who saw what happened or who has any information should email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 255 of September 6.
