TRIBUTES have been left at the scene of a crash in which a 27-year-old man was killed.
He was driving a Ford Focus that lost control and hit a tree and a wall, police said.
Flowers and tributes for a man named "Wayne" were left on a verge at the side of the country road where the accident took place.
One read: "Top guy, was a pleasure knowing you, playing alongside you. Will miss you bud. Keep smiling up there."
Another said: "You're like a star, although we can't see you we know you'll always be there ... gone but never forgotten."
Another read: "You will always be in our hearts, you will be missed.
"RIP Wayne, we will love you always and for ever."
The accident happened on Friday just after 10pm on the westbound carriageway of the B2124 near Laughton, about seven miles east of Lewes.
Emergency services spent about four hours at the scene of the crash, closing the road.
