A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a two vehicle crash left her with neck and chest injuries.
Emergency services were alerted at around 9.20am on Monday (June 20) to a two car crash on the A22 northbound near its junction with Arlington Lane West, Hailsham.
A Sussex Police spokesman said a woman driving one of the vehicles was trapped and firefighters had to remove the roof of the car to free her.
He added the woman had sustained neck and chest injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital.
The northbound lanes of the dual carriageway were shut while this was done and the scene cleared. Southbound traffic was unaffected.
Officers of the roads policing team are appealing for witnesses to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 300 of June 20.
