A 71-YEAR-OLD man was seriously injured when he fell from his bike.
He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where he is in a serious but stable condition.
It happened on the A259 Eversfield Place, St Leonards, at around 8.45am on Sunday (October 2), police said.
The cyclist, from Hastings, was riding his black Boardman bike west along the seafront.
The A259 was closed to westbound traffic until midday while emergency services were at the scene.
Eastbound traffic was diverted via Warrior Square and St Margaret's Road.
Witnesses or anyone who saw the cyclist riding before the incident is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting Operation Ashreed.
