A teenage boy was seriously injured after crashing his motorbike into a bus.
The 17-year-old from St Leonards was travelling south on Bohemia Road when the driver of a parked car – a silver BMW 330 – opened their door.
The rider took evasive action, which caused him to crash into a bus travelling in the opposite direction.
The accident happened at about 6.12pm yesterday.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious injuries, where he remains under close observation.
A 27-year-old man from St Leonards was arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
