A POLICE car responding to an emergency call has been involved in a crash.
The Ford Focus police car was heading to reports of a man acting violently in Brunswick Square, Hove, when it collided with a Volkswagen Golf in Norfolk Square, Brighton.
The accident happened just before 9am today Friday (November 25).
The male and female police officers and the driver of the VW only suffered minor injuries.
Both vehicles and a roadside post were damaged.
Following the crash another unit was sent to hunt for the suspect but the man could not be found.
A Sussex Police spokesman said the full circumstances of the collision are being investigated.
