AN obsessive stalker who murdered his ex-girlfriend because he could not accept she had moved on has been jailed for at least 25 years.
Judge Nicholas Green handed Michael Lane a life sentence with this minimum term this morning.
Yesterday a jury found Lane, 27, guilty of killing Shana Grice, 19, at her home in Chrisdory Road, Portslade, on August 25, last year.
Lane, of Thornhill Rise, Portslade, repeatedly denied murder but admitted stalking her in the months leading up to her death and claimed he found her dead that morning but did not tell anyone what he had seen.
