A POLICE officer has been accused of sex assault.

Sussex Police said the Brighton-based PC had been suspended from duty - but refused to disclose any further details of the alleged offences.

Sussex Police said in a statement: "Alexander Walsh, 33, a police constable based at Brighton, has been summonsed to appear before Crawley Magistrates' Court on April 11

to face charges of stalking and sexual assault by touching.

"He has been suspended from duty."
