Cecil Rex Pengilly, 77, of Hollington Old Lane, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to assault. Fined £75 plus £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

David Terrance Connell, 33, from Linley Drive, Hastings. Admitted stealing five pairs of sunglasses worth £79.95 from Pauls Tackle in Hastings. He was given a community ordered to attend drug rehabilitation, was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Joe Michael Lee Roberts, 19, from Elphinstone Road, Hastings. Admitted a burglary at Mount Pleasant Road, Hastings in which he stole an Asus Nexus tablet and charger and a box of Fosters lager worth a total of £110. He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Wayne Mutch, 29, of Churchill Court, Stonehouse Drive, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to stealing a Magnum Classic pack of three ice creams worth £2.85, Nivea cream products worth £15.12 from Lloyds Pharmacy and failing to answer bail. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £100 fine and £20 victim surcharge.

Ross Wesley Homan, 22, of Eversfield Place, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to failing to deliver to the Secretary of State a vehicle registration document. Fined £50.

Jeremy Joyce, 50, of Wellington Square, Hastings, pleaded guilty to keeping an untaxed Citroen on the road. Fined £133, plus £37.50 back duty and £90 costs.

Tobias Nathaniel Govan, 28, c/o Field way, St Leonards, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Brighton Magistrates’ Court by failing to perform unpaid work on two occasions. He was ordered to pay £70 costs and he was ordered to carry out an extra 20 hours of work.

Len Wright, 25, of Chapel Park Road, St Leonards, admitted stealing air freshener and washing gel to the value of £63.76 from the Co-op in Western Road, Bexhill. He also admitted a further theft of household and cleaning items worth £105.32 from the same store. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Johnny Lee Wheatley, 35, from Priory Avenue, Hastings. Admitted stealing packs of meat worth between £10 and £15 from Iceland in Castle Street, Hastings, entered the store which he was barred from and committing an offence during a suspended sentence. He was given an eight week sentence suspended for 12 months, was ordered to attend drug rehabilitation sessions and police supervision appointments. He was ordered to pay £10 compensation, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 costs.

Michael Reid, 53, from Mount Pleasant Road, Hastings. Admitted stealing a pair of trainers worth £20 from Sports Direct in Hastings. He was sent to prison for 12 weeks and was ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
