The first of 116 wind turbines at the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm is complete
THIS shot gives an idea of the incredible size of the Rampion wind turbines.
Workers last week completed the first of the 116 turbines which are eight miles off the Brighton/Worthing coast.
The towers are 210 metres in height and the blades an incredible 112 metres in diameter.
Once spinning they will create enough electricity to supply power to 347,000 homes.
The wind farm will be fully operational in 2018.
