EXCITED Harry Potter fans in fancy dress queued in the rain today to be among the first to have a chance to buy wands, chocolate frogs and broomsticks from a new theme shop.
Oliver’s in Trafalgar Street opened its doors for the first time at noon.
Purple-cloaked sales staff greeted throngs of excited shoppers of all ages, eager to buy official Potter-themed merchandise.
The interior of the shop has been decorated to resemble one of the otherworldly boutiques in Diagon Alley - the magical market street of the Potter universe.
Jessica Spencer, 27, came from Horsham to queue from 11am to make sure she was the new shop’s first customer.
“It’s perfect isn’t it - Brighton would have a lot of wizards I think. It’s probably the only place where you could walk down the street in wizard’s robes and no-one would bat an eyelid."
