A REWARD of £500 has been issued by police for a convicted burglar wanted in connection with a stabbing.

Police hunting 18-year-old Joseph Nelson have issued a £500 reward for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

Nelson is wanted in relation to several incidents in which he is believed to have been involved, including a stabbing in Priory Road, Hastings, on April 21.

The victim, an 18-year-old from Hastings, suffered five stab wounds during the attack.

As a result of the incident Nelson is wanted on recall to prison for breaching the terms of his licence.

He was released from prison in April having been sentenced to five months for burglary offences.

Detective Inspector Rob Morland said; “We believe Nelson is still in the Hastings area and hope this reward will encourage someone to come forward with information about him.

“We also warn anyone who assists Nelson to evade arrest in any way that we will find and arrest them too.

“They may prosecuted for harbouring and assisting an offender.”

Nelson is white, 6ft 4in, skinny with dark brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
