TWO accidents within two minutes closed a major Sussex route during rush hour.
The A24 northbound was closed after a vehicle left the road on the A24 northbound between Findon and Washington.
At 7.40am a black peugeot 207 left the road near Highden Bridge North farm and crashed into a bank.
The 27-year-old female driver suffered minor injuries and was treated by a paramedic from South East Coast Ambulance Service at the scene.
As police officers attended the first crash they spotted another accident just north of the first crash.
Officers saw the crash at 7.42am near Windlesham House School.
It is believed both accidents were caused by adverse weather conditions.
