INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the cause of a fire that broke out in a house this morning.
Firefighters were called to the three storey semi-detached property in Whitemans Green, near Haywards Heath, at about 3.50am this morning.
The roof of the building was well alight and badly damaged, along with a large part of the second floor.
Crews have brought the fire under control and remain at the scene this morning to make sure the area is safe.
Firefighters from Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Crawley were called out to help deal with the incident, which is believed to have started accidentally.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said there were no reports of any injuries.
