Hundreds of people are expected to camp out at Gatwick to protest against immigration laws.

The No Border Camp will take place from September 19 to 24. Campers oppose deportations, the asylum and refugee system and the building of a new detention centre at Gatwick to hold people trying to claim asylum.

There will be representatives of the No Border Network, pro-migrant and other antiracist groups.

People are expected to join the camp from across Europe.

There will be films, community outreach and information events and workshops on topics such as racism, migration, detention and deportations of migrants.

It is hoped there will be cultural events including a free concert in Crawley.

Organiser Liza Morgan said up to 400 people are expected.

There will be a No Borders planning meeting at the end of June, on a date to be announced. Those behind the camp are in contact with Crawley Borough Council.

Also this year there will be a No Border Camp in the Ukraine in August and on the Mexican and American border in November.
