DEVELOPERS want to demolish nine garages and build four new homes.
Hassocks-based Hatley Homes Ltd has applied to Brighton and Hove City Council to demolish the garages in Brentwood Road, Brighton, to build two three-bedroom houses and two flats.
The firm has been working on the plans since 2015 with initial support for the scheme from pre-application advice discussions.
The applicant has spent the past two years purchasing the land currently used as garages, many of which have been vacant for some time.
It is proposed that the houses will have private front and rear gardens.
The application site is of approximately 400 square metres.
A decision on the plans is expected at the end of next month.
