I have here an imaginary but possible newspaper headline: ‘Soldiers slaughtered in oil war: authorities waste millions of tons of oil by not replacing missing street name signs/plates’.
Another way of saving oil, combating congestion and producing many other gains is for more organisations and individuals to spell out how to get to their establishment not only by car but also by bus and train if it is feasible to do so.
I notice on the National Trust website for walks they will say how to get to a walk by mentioning a long-distance path sometimes described as a Way where it exists and also a route from a Cycleway.
We can help to keep our nation out of oil wars by doing these things.
