We were very sorry to read of the sad demise of Dora Bryan. For the world of entertainment a truly great light has gone out. Brighton has also lost a great character who was part of the vibrant city.

The last time we had the pleasure of seeing Dora on stage was in The Importance of Being Ernest. We have also been catching up on her in The Last of The Summer Wine.

We loved her accent that she never tried to lose, nor heeded to. She. like the star, was a wicked twinkle in her eyes, and a gorgeously infectious laugh.

Fortunately she has not gone forever thanks to films and repeats on the TV.

However we send our sincere condolences to her family.
