This is great news that the children’s centres have been saved and it is reassuring for the young families of Brighton and Hove.
The strength of feeling shown by families and the public demonstrated to councillors the need to provide these services.
As a ‘senior citizen’ with a family of two sons and four grandchildren I look back over the years of their pre-school development with pride. I hope future Brighton parents will do the same.

As a regular reader who comments via the letters section I compliment The Argus with keeping the public informed when it launched the Save Our Centres campaign earlier this year by reporter Flora Thompson.
