The general election is when our future MPs are likely to listen to our concerns if they want our vote.
As Quakers, we look for the non-violent resolution of conflicts, show respect for all human beings and try to live simply and sustainably.
Because we are so deeply concerned, we are writing to all our parliamentary candidates about such subjects as the £100bn to be spent on Trident, the growing gap between the poorest and richest in our country, climate change and militarisation of our schools.
We hope that Argus readers will also consider raising these key issues with their candidates.
