Maybe I have been lucky but I have always found most people to be inherently good-natured and kind.
For example, on Monday I was on my way to the dentist in Farm Road, when I was unfortunate enough to trip over a kerbstone (my own fault for not looking where I was going) and fall flat on my face.
So, through your column, I would like to thank the young builder in the street who called an ambulance.
I didn't get his name, nor the name of the lady with the walking stick who stayed with me and took the trouble to call in and cancel my dental appointment.
Isaac, the young paramedic. The ambulance crew Matt, Mark, and Ali. They all couldn't have been kinder.
I would like to thank them all. Plus the staff at the Somerton Dental Practice and their wonderful gesture of the lovely bunch of flowers which arrived on Tuesday morning and cheered me and my black eyes up much more than I can express.
