The Argus says Saltdean Lido is currently closed (November 30). This is most definitely not the case; the lido building houses Saltdean Community Association (SCA), which manages the community centre, The White Rooms beauty salon and the library. All remain open.
Many activities take place in the community centre while The White Rooms and the library are busier than ever.
We all look forward to a lido restored to its former glory but, until work starts in 2015, the building is very much open for business.
To ensure this, Brighton and Hove City Council has offered both the SCA and The White Rooms another one-year lease to the end of December 2014. We look forward to meeting new and existing customers in the New Year.
