I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article in The Argus about Lyminster Avenue in Hollingbury (April 15).

Even though it has been nearly 15 years since living there, I still have many warm memories of my time there.

Everyone seemed young, even the parents, all of whom had jobs. It was teeming with children.

On a Sunday, many of us would play football on the green in Buxted Rise. Fortunately it was very rare for the ball to roll out of control and down into the gardens of Fernhurst Crescent.

My younger brother Graham and I regard our old house in Rotherfield Crescent as our spiritual home.

Whenever he visits Sussex, he travels over to Hollingbury just to look at our old house and no doubt remembers the good times we had there.
