Am I getting old or has anyone noticed that the behaviour of young mothers and their offspring seems to be in decline?
I was in St Ann’s Well Gardens the other day at the cafe and there were these oh so lovely yummy mummies with their toddlers having a blissful picnic on the grass.
Then they departed with their buggies, piling all the leftover food and drink on an outside table and not having the courtesy to take their rubbish inside.
The seagulls and pigeons dived down and scattered everything around and it was left to the staff at the cafe to clear up the mess.
I have noticed a phenomenon with Tesco trolleys which have been left outside half full of crisps, snacks and other children’s entertainment while their beloved mothers were pushing them around Tesco. As for the buses, well, the number of people I have seen with monstrous buggies who insist that they and their offspring take all the seats while disabled and elderly people have to stand is disgusting.
