I am a long-suffering, regular commuter from Brighton to London.
As you know there are currently no trains to London Bridge.
In the good old days I used to change there to get to Charing Cross.
I have discovered today (no advance warning, naturally) that there is suddenly now no ticket acceptance from Embankment tube station (the nearest tube to Charing Cross) to Victoria tube station, which there has been since January.
As ticket acceptance has bizarrely ended at Victoria tube station, the great minds of Southern/TFL/National Rail etc expect me to take an unpleasantly convoluted and overcrowded route home to Brighton, the details of which I won’t bore you with, unless I fork out even more cash than the £4,000 plus I already do to go three tube stops to Victoria.
Maybe this will strike a chord with your readership. I can’t believe I am the only person to have been hit by this.
