DURING the last five years or so I have written many letters on the topic of fracking. Many, I am pleased to say, have appeared in The Argus.

The letter from Kenny Lloyd epitomises the ongoing anxiety throughout society concerning the clandestine campaigns by gas fracking exploration organisations to seek approval to embark on the rape of the beautiful English countryside.

Like Kenny Lloyd, I also participated with others demonstrating at Balcombe, and would do the same again if the need arises in the future.

Communities, if necessary, will move to mobilise and the public will launch campaigns to protect the supply of unpolluted water supplies.

Large amounts of the population throughout the Southern Counties rely on the clean water from aquifers.

I shall not sit back and witness organisations given the green light by Government to pollute and spoil the beautiful English countryside.

The future health of my four grandchildren and generations to come must be safeguarded.

One example of the pollution of water supplies and widespread contamination of land throughout the US States has been well documented for some years by the National Geographic magazine publication.

Our small beautiful country must not accept the rape of our countryside.

Hopefully the Government will recognise its gas fracking policy in the wake of genuine concern and oppose fracking.

Ignore the sirens at your peril.
