  • The Argus: Stuart Slade was killed in central Brighton in December 2008.

NEARLY two months after the knife murder of Stuart Slade in central Brighton police are appealing for the public's help to find his killer. Detectives have released these CCTV images of people who were in the area at the time the 35-year-old was stabbed to death. Mr *Slade* was found in a pool of blood with several deep stab wounds in Hampton Place, Brighton, on December 30. He was discovered by passersby near the junction with Western Road at 2.30am and died later in hospital. Officers have visited Hampshire, Surrey and South London looking for Michael Bishop, a 24-year-old they want to question over the killing. He was living in Brighton when Mr *Slade* was murdered. They are also trying to trace people who were in the area at the time. Sussex Police's major crime branch released these pictures, taken from a business on the opposite side of Western Road, and from a convenience store a few yards away on the Hampton Place side. Anyone pictured in the CCTV footage is asked to call Sussex Police s major crime branch quoting Operation Kite on 0845 6070999. Anyone with information about the crime or Mr Bishop s whereabouts is asked to call the same number.
