Albion make two changes
7:01pm Tuesday 18th December 2012 in Sport By Howard Griggs
Albion have made two changes for tonight’s Championship clash with Millwall at The Amex.
Inigo Calderon has failed to recover from a knee injury sustained in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home to Nottingham Forest so Adam El-Abd moved to right-back with Lewis Dunk coming into central defence.
The other change saw Dean Hammond return at the expense of Will Hoskins, which meant David was pushed into a wider role.
There was no defender on the bench but there was a place for former Lewes youngster Solly March who is with Luke Williams’ development squad.
Millwall were forced into a change before kick-off as Andy Keogh was injured in the warm-up so Jack Smith came into the starting line-up with Shaun Batt added to the bench.
Albion: Kuszczak; El-Abd, Greer, Dunk, Bridge; Bridcutt, David, Crofts, Hammond; Buckley, Mackail-Smith. Subs: LuaLua, Barnes, Dobbie, Harley, Hoskins, March, Brezovan.
Millwall: Forde; A.Smith, Shittu, Beevers, Lowry; Henry, Wright, Trotter, C.Taylor; Wood, J.Smith. Subs: N'Guessan, Malone, Feeney, Batt, Henderson, Osborne, M.Taylor.
Referee: Keith Stroud.

Come January we will have a new striker, at which point Hoskins won't get any game time. We need to give him a chance to prove himself, and he can't do that on the bench. What a pity...

This whole article is written as though the game was yesterday, it's all past tense, weird.

Very disappointed to see Hoskins not starting. The guy has been injured so long it will take him time to get in the flow. He's been improving every game and other than final finish played great in the last game and had fantastic positioning.

No defensive cover on the bench seems to be inviting disaster, obviously all the injuries don't help.
Good to see one of the DS squad involved though. Perhaps March could play on the left of midfield if needed with Hammond dropping back into defence.

Has anyone tried to get the text commentary from the BBC, it appears unavailable today.

Why is Barnes not playing? With the exception of CMS he is the only other decent striker at the club.

I warned about playing Dunk in the week and he's already been substituted.

A large CF to hold up play and bring in to play CMS; I know something that is not new to everyone's ears.
However I feel that a more aggressive midfileder is needed to win the headers; Lua Lua and buckley can play off such a guy.
Read a post today about Wood not being anygood; well he'sput another one in today. Come on Albion a bit more creative play in the last third -
2-1 Brighton again

I've never been convinced with lualua but not playing him on the wing seems to be a revelation. Great comeback and a penalty scored?!

Pleased that we got a draw from a seemingly lost match.
Pleased that Gus acted quickly to change things during the match.
Trying to think of more things to be pleased about.
Not pleased that our strikers didn't get one in.
Not pleased with just 9 shots during the game.
Need input from those there.

If as you often hear "things even themselves out over the season" was true, we would'nt lose again this season (if only) SEAGULLS
Phew, terrible first half but showed great character and deserved the draw. Good job KLL.

We also hit the post and El Abd had one saved off the line. We could have clinched it becasue we were the stronger team at the end.
But no I wasn't a full witness to the game and from what you are saying, you were entertained throughout.
That's good enough for me ;o)
