Former Albion and Crawley midfielder Matt Sparrow is relishing the task of taking Scunthorpe out of League Two.
Sparrow is rejoining his hometown club, who he helped to promotion to the Championship in his first stint.
He parted company with the Seagulls last season and spent the second half of the campaign with Crawley before turning down the offer of a new deal.
He told fans via Twitter: “Looking forward to the challenge of getting @SUFCOfficial out of this league!”
Scunthorpe were relegated last season.
