Crawley Town have signed midfielder Kyle Bennett on a month’s loan from Doncaster Rovers.

Bennett, 23, is the younger brother of former Albion favourite Elliott, who is now at Norwich City.

Like his brother, Kyle started his career at Wolves before joining Bury in August 2010.

After an impressive debut season with the Shakers, he moved to Doncaster a year later and was part of the squad which won the League One title last season, making 38 appearances and scoring three goals.

However, he has been restricted to just two outings as a substitute in the Championship this season.

Bennett has been linked with a move to Crawley in the past and boss Richie Barker is delighted to sign him.

He said: “Kyle is a player I knew from my time at Bury and when he got his move to Doncaster I monitored his progress. He was a big part of what they achieved last season but he hasn't played too many games so far this season and we are delighted Doncaster have agreed to let us have him, initially for a month.”
