Bridcutt missing again for Albion

The Argus: Liam Bridcutt's Albion future remains under a cloud Liam Bridcutt's Albion future remains under a cloud

Albion are without want-away midfielder Liam Bridcutt for the third match running at Derby County today.

The Sunderland transfer target missed the successive 1-0 wins at The Amex against home town club Reading in the FA Cup and Birmingham last Saturday with a groin injury.

Bridcutt was captured on a club video training at The Amex with the rest of the first team squad yesterday morning but will not play a part in today's game.

Former Albion boss Gus Poyet wants to take Bridcutt to Sunderland. The Black Cats had a £2 million bid rejected at the start of the month and the Seagulls also turned down a subsequent transfer request from their player of the year for the last two seasons.

I'm not getting fearful just yet but have to say that I'm getting closer to it given it's less than 2 weeks until the window closes.

2 squad players sold, 2 DS lads sold with another being loaned out. Bridcutt looking like exiting more everyday and some major players out injured...

I think it must be getting to a point where the management team need to show our hand.
I'd add that the longer it takes to get new guys in, the longer it will take them to integrate.
Let's please not lose the ground we've made up by having a dire set of results whilst weakend.

Conway, Mason, McCourt and a decent centre half please.

For those that don't already know, if watching on First Row Sports, don't download anything, click out of ads and quickly enlarge the screen once ads are closed, that stops others appearing. You might get the odd banner at the bottom of the screen but that can easily be closed.

I usually watch using one of the first three links.

Fear the worst day. Been too much upheaval at the club this week and it must have had an unsettling effect on the players. Not to mention the fact that we're now without Barnes, Buckley, Bridcutt, Lua Lua and El Abd.

Going to be a massive result if we bring anything back from Derby, but I'll be cheering them on as usual.

Bruce it wasn't that long ago when we had 7 or 8 key players all out at the same time, we got thru those dark days and picked up some good points.
Derby are not on their best form right now and a point is certainly a possibility. I think we will get something from this match, and we might just nick all three, our away form is strong and Derby will show us our due respect.

Getting bored with the Bridcutt situation. As he does not want to play for us anymore OG has done the right thing to leave him out. Also if he were to get crocked there would be no deal so let us concentrate on getting Conway, another quality striker better than the money GRABBer and maybe another centre half.Still not quite sure about Dunk.

In complete agreement with the exception of Dunk.

I think Lewis will be a very good centre half for us in coming years.

Having said that... many of the links on VIPBox, FirstRowSports and Wiziwig are for 'AceStreams', and for these it is fine to download the software (which is just a modified version of VLC), then you will get streams of 1200-2000 kbps rather than the 175-400 kbps the Flash streams use.

AceStream is kind of like BitTorrent for live streaming, which means you're getting the stream from multiple locations hence the higher bitrate. Far better image quality and reliability.

Back to Bridcutt... very disappointing.

If Bridcutt goes we would not need to replace him this year, so a lot of money should become available for new players, maybe not all of his fee but a decent chunk of it.
I am ok with the way things are going for now, but I would like to see some movement in the market early next week.

You do come out with some positive comments Vegas ! I like that although I feel Derby will be tougher than you think having been severely thrashed by Liecester we may get the backlash, but keep those positives coming if not just to balance out my acute bout of pessimism.

Bruce I have no illusions as to just how tough beating Derby will be, a point would not be a bad result. Yes they might bounce back from their thrashing, 'might,' being the word, but that can also go the other way, especially if we score first. When you take a beating you want to come back fighting but push too hard and you leave spaces, our away form suggest that we can exploit spaces. If JFC and Ince can deliver today, then I fancy it.
