Emile Sinclair has been the third player to leave Crawley on transfer deadline day.

The striker followed Nicky Adams and Gary Alexander out of the door after completing a deadline beating loan move to Northampton Town just 15 minutes before the window closed.

Sinclair has joined the League Two strugglers until the rest of the season - when there is a view to make the move permanent - just five months since Crawley spent £100,000 to sign the striker from Peterborough.

The 26-year-old has struggled to make at impact at Crawley, scoring four goals in 19 games, and has not featured in the last two games.

Sinclair had held talks with Mansfield last week but Northampton stepped in when the Stags pulled the plug on any move due to financial problems.

The departure of Sinclair together with the exits of Alexander and Adams leaves Crawley even shorter on numbers for tomorrow's home game against Stevenage.
