Crawley game off

Crawley Town's match at home to Tranmere Rovers tonight has been postponed.

The game was officially called off at 6.25pm with the match referee concerned about player safety in certain areas of the pitch.

This is Crawley's eighth postponement in the last seven weeks and they still have 21 games to play in the final ten weeks of the season.

Crawley Town are going the wrong way of making friends in League One this season. After making one set of fans travel 700 miles for nothing on Saturday they doubled the dose this evening after fans travelled from Merseyside. Its nothing short of incompetence and one wonders what if going on behind closed doors at the Broadfield.

Indeed their web site suggested yesterday :-

This pitch is now perfectly playable and there are no plans for an inspection. As usual, the club will monitor the situation and although some rain is forecast between now and kick off time any vulnerable areas will be protected by the pitch covers as an extra precaution.

Micheal, if you make another apology please do not quote unexpected rain an escape route as afternoon rain was always on the BBC weather site for Crawley.

Crawley Town have a lot of face to regain and if there is further threats to matches please make sure to call it off nice and early !

If, over the past few seasons they had spent some money on infrastructure instead of players the pitch may have been playable.

Crawley football club are a joke-they should pay all the costs to the fans of Carlisle and Tranmere-if you can't get your ground/pitch up to the requirered levels for league football-then you should not be in the football league!! N o respect for other teams fans who pay their hard earned money to follow their team around the country.
