Seagulls wait on Buckley

The Argus: Will Buckley Will Buckley

Albion are hopeful Will Buckley can make a quick return to action – but they might know more today.

The winger asked to be replaced at half-time in Monday’s FA Cup tie with Hull City due to concern over his hamstring.

Head coach Oscar Garcia does not believe Buckley suffered a tear but expects to know more at training today and tomorrow.

Striker Leo Ulloa will shrug off discomfort in his left calf muscle in time to face Wigan on Saturday.

We need him fit, but being a betting man, he won't start in half our remaining 16- 17 fixtures.

At least we have options with Buckley, KLL and March. Would be good for Buckers to have a bit of a run of games though - and good for the team on the evidence of Monday.

I think we should have taken the money in the transfer window. He's never fit.

Thought we might have got a loan striker to boost our hopes, but the Blues Bros only like money coming in and not out.A good loanee could pay dividends.

On the question of Buckleys fitness; while I am no expert has anyone thought the the problem could well be that he has something wrong with his back. Nobody should suffer this long with hamstring problems unless there is another problem elsewhere, Maybe then we will see the true qualities of Will Buckley.

No truth in the rum our then that. Buckley asked to be substituted at half-time v hull because off unduer. pessure from gp and co who want him on their side. Apart from the through ball to ulloa which he could hardly avoid, another underwhelming performance. Ship him out to gus and his geezers on 'emergency loan asap with a permanent deal in the summer.

So other than the through ball and the cross which ulloa should have put away, bit harsh on someone just back from injury! But then he is always just back from injury!

There is no doubt some fragility about WB but wouldn't want him shipped out like some suggest. Once fit he is still important and as he showed on Monday still has the skills to make a difference. Not sure that others would have had the vision and skill to set up the goal - when more experienced SM probably will but not quite there yet for me. So to have both WB and SM as well as one or two of the other options we can call on is great for squad competition for match day starts and leads to improved performances. That's the theory anyway, isn't it?

A fit Buckley is one of our best players
A fit Buckley is arguably one if the best players in the Championship
A fit Buckley is a match winner
A fit Buckley scores goals, something 10 of our current starting eleven cannot do
A fit Buckley could potentially land us a massive transfer fee if he moves on
A fit Buckley is a Premier league player, which is where we want to be !
Get of the guys back and start supporting him through this difficult period, he is a Brighton player and we should be great full we have someone of his class at the club !

So the fact he wanted to be a palace player means nothing then. The Albion blocked the move at the last min you will find. Some of you people live in a dream world. These players are not your friends, and they are sure not Albion fans.
