CRAWLEY boss John Gregory has told his new signings they all have roles to play in the coming weeks.

The Reds won 2-1 at Walsall on Saturday without using any of the five players Gregory had signed since their last game a month ago.

Rory Fallon, Paul Connolly, Hiram Boateng, Sullay Kaikai and back-up goalkeeper Ross Atkins were all unused substitutes as Crawley won with two goals by Matt Tubbs.

Eight postponements since the turn of the year means the Reds are now facing 20 games in the next 69 days and Gregory says the whole squad – including Sergio Torres who was omitted altogether on Saturday – will have parts to play.

The Reds boss said: “We know what is ahead us. That is why we will need all 20 players in the squad. “They will all be playing at various stages and they all know that.

“They are all very much part of the group, very much switched on, that is why we went to Walsall early, just to get everybody with the same mentality. We have a big job to do.”

Forward Billy Clarke must serve a two-game ban after being sent off for a second bookable offence at Walsall – his second red card in his last three appearances.

Crawley visit Swindon Town tomorrow evening.
