Albion set to face former transfer target

The Argus: Owen Garvan Owen Garvan

Former Albion transfer target Owen Garvan could line up against them at Millwall on Saturday.

The midfielder is joining the struggling Lions on loan from Crystal Palace.

Garvan rejected a move to the Seagulls in July 2011.

The Irish midfielder was part of the Palace side that knocked Albion out of the play-offs last season.

Versatile former MK Dons player Shaun Williams, who chose Millwall over Albion in the January transfer window, is also expected to feature for Ian Holloway's side.

It's my fervent hope that we show this guy that his decision not to join us was a serious error of judgement!

Most teams we play have a former transfer target but nothing ever seems to materialise.

Not sure about Garvan but I have seen Williams play twice this season and he looks a very good player dare I say it better than our own Stephens. Time will tell
