Forster-Caskey salutes perfect away performance for Albion

The Argus: Jake Forster-Caskey joins in the celebrations Jake Forster-Caskey joins in the celebrations

Jake Forster-Caskey has praised Albion for avoiding a post-QPR hangover.

He admitted the Seagulls were on a high after last Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Harry Redknapp’s men.

Which made success by the same score on a testing afternoon at in-form Bolton even more impressive.

Forster-Caskey, below, said: “I think it was a perfect away performance on the back of a big result against QPR.

“Sometimes you can slip up in the next game but we showed good attitude, everybody worked hard and we got three points and the clean sheet.”

Albion’s younger guns again played a big role, including the impressive Lewis Dunk at the back.

Forster-Caskey, who was involved in the move for the second goal, said: “I’m loving it.

“I think all us young lads have been involved more under Oscar and he is helping us a lot.

“We can only enjoy it, keep working hard and when we get the shirt hopefully keep it.”

Brilliant to see these youngsters coming through the development system which must rub off on the newer recruits to the development squad + the huge fact that it's saving us huge transfer fees!

All in all what a great club we support!
Hope the great results of last week will quieten the band of "doubters" on this site!

Roll on Saturday.

Great result for the albion, a very complete performance, OG deserves a lot of credit for the way he has handled himself this season, I hope he is sucking up as much information as possible as there are areas of improvement.
Said before but the main one for me is the quality of players we are bringing into the club, this season has been a failure on that point of view, I hate to mention previous managers but the quality we have brought in this season is not a patch on the previous two or three seasons, we are still relying heavily on the previous managers signings, this year Obika, Lita, Andrews, Conway, Stephens, Rodders, Ward, are not really top end championship players, a couple have proven to be solid but nothing else. I hope Stephens turns out to be a success

It's incredible what OG has achieved without a pre-season, the last two seasons' POTY and many other players.

So Ward is not good enough for you? I have him in the running for player of the season.
I would have loved us to bring Conway back on loan too. Obika hasn't cut the mustard, but as with Lita, Stephens and El Rodney, none have had enough time on the pitch to show us what they can do. Stephens looks like he is will do though.

Agreed. Ward has been a great signing. And of course, through the rose tinted glasses, all of GP's signings did well? Barn door Billy is a great example. You can only sign players that are available, and who are willing to come.

Indeed, and let's not forget Ryan Harley, Chris Holroyd, Fran Sandaza, Cristian Baz, Agustin Battipiedi, Hoyte and Vokes (no impact for us despite his subsequent Burnley exploits).
