Horsham YMCA won the Sussex RUR Cup at Lancing tonight after beating East Preston on penalties.

Dan Sullivan’s spot-kick proved decisive as YM triumphed 5-4 after the game ended goalless.

East Preston were bidding to land a treble of the County League title, John O’Hara League Cup and RUR Cup.

They had the better chances throughout a tight contest but could not break down a well-organised YM side.

In the shootout YM goalkeeper Simon Lockwood saved from Tom Levitt which allowed Sullivan to stroke home the winning penalty.
