Eastbourne Borough manager Garry Wilson is hoping it will be third time lucky for their FA Trophy clash with Northwich Victoria.

The second round tie has already been called off twice and is likely to be switched to Hastings United's Pilot Field ground tonight with the Priory Lane pitch still under water.

There is a pitch inspection at Priory Lane this morning and if it is not deemed fit a further pitch inspection will be held at the Pilot Field.

Supporters intending to go to the game should call 01323 743561 ext 230 for the latest information.

Borough are definitely without top scorer Scott Ramsay and skipper Paul Armstrong while Matt Crabb is a doubt after picking up an ankle knock against Welling on Saturday.

Wilson said: "It would probably be better for us if the game was called off again as we are without two, maybe three key players and we will also lose home advantage if the match is switched.

"In a perfect world we would play it at Priory Lane but the pitch was like a boating lake last night.

"We could have postponed it again but we just want to get the match played because we have got league games piling up."

Borough's supporters club will be running a coach to Hastings if the match is switch. The coach will leave Priory Lane at 6.30 and costs £5.

Meanwhile, Ian Chapman is confident his Whitehawk side can clinch a place in the last 16 of the FA Vase tonight.

Hawks travel to Edgware Town after being held to a 1-1 draw at East Brighton Park on Saturday.

Chapman, left, said: "Saturday was the right result but I know we can play better. We can up our game another 25 to 30 per cent and if we do that we will have a good chance."

Tommy Pattenden and Kevin Townsend miss out through suspension but Danny Bird returns to the squad after missing Saturday's game.
