Sami Hyypia believes Albion wasted a great chance to grab an impressive away win today.

The Seagulls came from a goal to draw 1-1 at high-flying Watford through Lewis Dunk’s header.

That goal extended Albion’s unbeaten run in league and cup to five games.

But they could have turned this fourth successive league draw into three points late on.

The Albion boss said: “We could have got all the points and that makes it not easy to take.

“I think in the second half we played very well and created chances to score more goals and win this game.

“We didn’t score from the good chances. I think we missed the ball totally a few times in the penalty area when we could have put it in the empty net!

“That is a bit frustrating but credit to the players that we stepped it up in the second half.”

Hyypia was unhappy with the way Daniel Tozser’s free-kick went through the wall to put Watford in front.

He said: “Conceding that kind of goal is not real.

“I think from age ten they teach that the wall stands still and is not moving.

“It wasn’t an especially good free-kick. It could have hit the wall if we didn’t move.

“We were chasing the game like we have been chasing most of them.

“That is not a good situation but we showed we can come back.

“With a little bit more concentration or determination in the second half we could have won the game.”
