Albion are sweating on the results of medical checks on injured midfielder Andrew Crofts.
The Welsh international hurt his right knee in a challenge by Watford defender Juan Carlos Paredes during yesterday's 1-1 draw at Vicarage Road.
Crofts received prolonged treatment late in the second half before limping back around the pitch perimeter to the dressing room.
Crofts returned towards the end of pre-season from a ruptured cruciate knee ligament suffered against Birmingham in January.
Manager Sami Hyypia confirmed after the game: "It was the same knee he had the operation on. I don't want to speculate what is there because we don't know. Nobody can see inside but he definitely had some injury in his right knee.
"It's not very good for him. He was a long time out with the injury and when you get something in the same knee it's not good."
