Albion trialist Alou Diarra is one of two over-age players in the under-21s for tonight's game away to Charlton.
The 33-year-old former Liverpool, West Ham and French midfielder has been training with the Seagulls in a bid to earn a deal.
He is joined by Nzuzi Toko for the fixture in the last 32 of the Premier League Cup at Ebbsfleet FC (7pm).
Congolese midfielder Toko has made one substitute appearance for the first team since he was signed during the close season from Swiss club Grasshopper Zurich.
The winners of tonight's tie are away to Huddersfield in the next round.
Albion: Walton; Barry, Barnett, Diarra, Dallison, Pappoe, Harris, Rea, Kandi, Toko, Muitt. Subs: Starkey, Smith, Barclay, Wiltshire, Davis.
